Pizza Lovers
A tiny hole in the wall operation over in Lichtenberg, operated by a Polish Pizzaiolo called David, Pizza Lovers is serving up some Roman style Pizza alla palla sold 'alla taglio' - by slice/square. Interesting premise and pretty good pizza. The dough is quite thick, almost focaccia-style and the toppings are a mix between the classics and funkier creations like cotto, gorgonzola, and cranberries. The ingredient quality is solid and it's a refreshing alternative to omnipresent Neapolitan pies. It's worth a visit if you're in the area and the setting between Plattenabuten is unique!
Don't be afraid to try the weirder pizzas, the cotto, gorgonzola, cranberry was (surprisingly!) our favorite.
